Email support@zaidanlabs.com with what happened and your Flick version. You can find the version under About Flick in the menu bar menu.

If something went wrong, the log helps: choose Show Log File in the Flick menu and attach flick.log.

Flick doesn't open when I press the shortcut

Open System Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Accessibility, and make sure Flick is turned on. If it already is, quit Flick from the menu bar and open it again.

Some apps turn on Secure Keyboard Entry, for example password fields and some terminals. While it is on, no app can see the shortcut. Flick's menu shows "Blocked: an app has Secure Keyboard Entry on" when this happens.

Window previews show app icons instead

Previews need Screen Recording permission. Turn Flick on under Privacy & Security, then Screen & System Audio Recording, and reopen Flick.

Unlocking Flick on another Mac

Open Flick, choose Unlock Flick in the menu, and enter the email you paid with under Already bought it. Flick checks your purchase and unlocks.

Adding your own music

MusicXML files from MuseScore and other notation apps are free to add: open Library, tap +, and choose MusicXML.

A PDF or photos of printed music can be turned into a playable piece for one credit a page. Printed music doesn't always read perfectly, so check the notes against your copy.

If a conversion fails

If pages can't be read, the credits for them come back to your balance automatically.

Refunds for purchases

Purchases are made through Apple. To ask for a refund, go to reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID.

Your progress on more than one device

With iCloud turned on for Barline, your progress, credits and imported pieces appear on your iPhone and iPad.

Deleting your account

In the app, go to Account, then Profile, then Delete account. Deleting the app removes everything stored on the device.
