Flick

Last updated September 25, 2026

The short version

Flick works on your Mac. It reads your window titles and, if you allow it, window previews, only to show them in the switcher. None of that leaves your Mac. Flick has no account, no analytics and no ads.

What Flick reads on your Mac

With Accessibility permission, Flick reads the titles and positions of open windows so it can list and switch to them. With Screen Recording permission, it captures small previews of those windows while the switcher is open. Previews are kept in memory and discarded when the switcher closes. Flick writes a diagnostic log to ~/Library/Logs/Flick on your Mac. It is never sent anywhere unless you attach it to an email yourself.

Update checks

Flick checks for new versions a few times a day by downloading a small update feed from Google Cloud Storage. Like any web request, this reveals your IP address and Flick version to the server. Zaidan Labs may use these requests to count how many copies of Flick are in use.

Purchases

Flick is sold through Paddle, which acts as the seller and handles payment, tax and receipts. Paddle's privacy policy applies to the information you give at checkout. Zaidan Labs does not see or store your card details.

Unlocking

When you unlock Flick, it sends your order reference or the email you paid with to zaidanlabs.com. Our server asks Paddle whether that purchase exists and sends back a signed license, which Flick keeps on your Mac. The server does not keep a copy of your email or order.

Barline

Last updated September 25, 2026

The short version

Barline doesn't show ads, doesn't track you across apps, and doesn't sell data.

Where your data lives

Your practice progress, imported scores and credit balance are stored on your device and, when iCloud is on, in your own private iCloud storage so they appear on your other devices. We can't read your iCloud data.

Sign in with Apple

If you sign in, Barline stores the anonymous identifier Apple gives us, plus the name and email you choose to share. You can hide your email; Apple then relays messages for you. A profile photo you add stays on your device.

Purchases

Purchases are handled by Apple; we never see your payment details.

Converting pages

When you convert a PDF or photos, those pages are sent to our conversion service, read, and deleted within 24 hours. They aren't used for anything else.

Deleting everything

Account > Profile > Delete account removes your Barline account: your sign-in, name, email and photo, and ends Sign in with Apple for Barline. Your credits, pieces and practice history belong to your Apple ID and stay in your iCloud. Deleting the app removes everything stored on the device.

I

Ithaca

Last updated September 30, 2026

The short version

Your conversations with Claude, Codex and other agents stay on your own computers. Zaidan Labs keeps what it needs to run your account and your subscription, plus crash reports and counts of which features you use unless you turn them off. We never see the text of your messages, we don't show ads, and we don't sell your data.

What stays on your computers

Your threads, the files your agents work on, the keys you save in Ithaca, your glossary, notes and to-dos are kept by Ithaca on your own computers. When your computers talk to each other, they connect directly or through your own network. Ithaca runs the agents with your own accounts at Anthropic, OpenAI and the others, so what you send an agent goes to that company under its own privacy policy.

Your account

To make your account we keep your name and email. Passwords are handled by Google's Firebase Authentication; we never see or store them. If you sign in with Google, Google tells us your name and email. If you asked to join Ithaca, we keep what you wrote about why.

Your computers

For each computer you sign in, we keep its name, its kind (Mac or Linux), an ID for the machine, and when it was last seen. So your computers can find each other, each one leaves a short-lived note with its network addresses and a pairing code that only your other computers on the same account can read.

Accepting the terms

When you accept the Ithaca Terms of Service, we record which version, when, your email, your IP address and your browser, so we can show that you agreed.

Crash reports and usage

Unless you turn them off in Settings › Privacy, Ithaca sends a crash report after a crash (the error, the app's recent log with keys hidden, the computer's name, the Ithaca version and your operating system) and, once in a while, counts of how often features are used, how many threads run with each agent, and how many errors happened. These counts never include anything you or your agents wrote.

Reports you send

When you use Report a problem, we receive your message and what you choose to include: a screenshot of the Ithaca window, the app's recent log with keys hidden, versions, recent errors, and a thread only if you tick it. We use it to fix the problem and may email you about it.

Your iPhone

To notify your iPhone while the app is closed, your computer sends the notification (a thread's title and, for a question, its text) through our server to Apple's push service. Our server passes it on and doesn't keep it; your phone's push token is sealed so only our server can read it, and we don't store it.

Payments

Our order process is run by Paddle.com, the Merchant of Record. Paddle handles your payment details; we see your email, what you bought and whether your subscription is active.

Update checks

Ithaca checks for updates a few times a day. Like any web request, this shows our server your IP address and your Ithaca version.

Cloud computers

If you make a cloud computer from Ithaca, the key you give it for your cloud provider stays on your own computer, and the machine is created in your own cloud account.

Who else is involved

Google Cloud and Firebase host our servers and store the data above; our servers run in the United States. Resend sends our emails. Apple sends iPhone notifications and TestFlight invites. Paddle handles payments. Each uses the data only to provide its service to us.

Keeping and deleting

We keep your data while your account is open. To see what we have, or to have your account and data deleted, email support@zaidanlabs.com. Some records, like payments and your acceptance of the terms, may be kept as long as the law requires.

Children

Ithaca isn't meant for children under 16.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
